Le Fantome de l'Opera

This was my second Area of Concentration project for my AP Studio art class (my A of C being Art Nouveau). I had been doodling phantom masks on my creative writing notes, and decided to turn my favorite into a painting. The aged look was achieved by painting the entire image in browns and yellows first, and then going in with the colors. The lettering was copied freehand from the lettering of the original cover of Leroux's novel.
